About the Role
We are hiring a Remote Frontend Developer (Australia-based) to join our growing digital team. This role is ideal for a passionate developer who enjoys building modern, responsive, and high-performance web interfaces while working fully remotely. You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive and scalable web experiences for users across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and interactive web user interfaces
- Convert UI/UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into clean, efficient frontend code
- Ensure excellent performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Collaborate closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and dynamic data
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and usability
- Write reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with modern frontend technologies, tools, and industry best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer in a professional environment
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular
- Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with TypeScript
- Knowledge of CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or Material UI
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack or Vite
- Familiarity with testing tools like Jest or Cypress
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
